2014 E63S: oil centrifuge cover

Post by kevm14 »

This sucked because I didn't realize that pulling the firewall requires touching the heater core hose which is brittle. So I did it the hard way which took about 3.5 hours and cut my hands up. Pulling the firewall is the way to go but I wasn't prepared to do more plastic nonsense.

Had to run out and get a super long 3/8" ratchet, a longer 1/4" drive and a 5/16" ratcheting wrench. All of those were helpful but still didn't make it easy.

About 105k. Old one was probably fine.

The part I broke is this which is A2781595540 but it just does not exist. I guess I'd have to buy an entire harness and swap it over. Meh.
