2nd Honda Rancher - 2004 TRX350

Post by rpaoness »

The kids have all almost outgrown the 120cc TaoTao ATV. I'm considering going to check out the 2004 Honda Rancher linked below.

I bought a 2003 for $1500 that had one leaking tire and an aftermarket carb that runs like 90% of the way it should (on the very precise carburetor performance index).

It says it needs a clutch - internet 30 second looking said another guy was about $375 in parts associated with the clutch for replacement. I'm thinking if I can snag it for <$1000 I'd consider it.

I wish I could get an idea if the price is negotiable before I drive an hour to go look at it...

$1500 would have to be overpriced (need to look at comps) and he would have to be more desperate to sell to get it for under $1000 if he's asking $1500. Are either of those things true?

It's gone.

I had asked to check it out Friday night, but the posting got deleted in the meantime.

Here's another candidate... Looks like it needs a timing chain/tensioner and a muffler.
