What is the code? The Mercedes number, not the OBD2 number.

I'm not sure what to do with that code. Is it in the engine computer or transmission computer?

Perhaps it was degraded transmission performance detected by some combo of transmission sensors and expected transmission behavior. I should probably reinitialize/relearn the transmission and see if it still exists. Seems to work/shift fine and possible "better" since the fluid change.

I also wonder if I should do another drain and refill or two since it's likely that the change is only some % of the fill, maybe a high percentage without a torque converter, but still a %age.

I think that P code came from the engine computer. Was there a transmission module code?

No - not from my original record, just the P-code. I'll look again sometime Monday - I'll be in VT from tonight through then with the pickup and trailer.

The code was actually under the AWD module. Still there, but I have not yet done the engine oil life change/service reset (was holding off until my first oil change, probably in like 1k miles). I guess I'll just wait and see if it goes away before or after that reset.

Can you name the specific module? It'll be a letter + number and maybe a slash with another number.

FOUND IT.

N45 (AWD module.....sigh).

- Reset the oil service data
- Perform function test of Y68/3

The code will probably go away after that. I didn't realize there would be an "AWD" module with these options. Weird.

I am not sure if the iCarSoft can do all of this. May need the Launch or Xentry. Or my TopDon TopScan. Or Kingbolen eDiag thing I also have....
