2017 GLS550 148k Service
Re: 2017 GLS550 148k Service
I need to revisit this. I was remembering a combo of my S550 and E63. They both have the centrifuge cover that can leak. The M278 has the vacuum pump. I don't remember if it has cam inspection covers.

That thing I said.kevm14 wrote: Tue Jul 15, 2025 3:41 pm Oh, rear. That's different.
Most common would be centrifuge cover (pass side) and there are two other rear cam inspection covers that are plastic and just snap on. Also take a look at the vacuum pump (driver's side). If the centrifuge cover and cam covers are original they are overdue.

Wanna look up all of the appropriate idler pulleys and probably a tensioner when you have a chance?

Litens tensioner. They also have a Continental and Gates. They are all probably acceptable.

Litens pulley, smooth

Litens pulley, grooved

I think the big one on top is not listed.
