Oh yes. This will be great. Ordered.

Probably should have gone with Amazon clone for as low as $130 (with good results per this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_PK2xXMNew) but I splurged on OEM because I'm crazy like that.

The truck turns in at lower speeds pretty good but at higher speeds you can basically feel the outer front tire working really hard (and you can see it in tread wear, FWIW). It causes the sidewall to flex and makes the steering input to steer direction start to become nonlinear. So I can see how this is going to be a significant upgrade like everyone says.

Want to probably install like this for a little more ground clearance that I'm sure I don't need. Actually I'm not sure. This would make the center part near the diff actually drop while probably not adding much ground clearance at the axle tubes since the brackets hang down anyway...

The diff is the lowest point for the most part if you don't count the shock brackets at the very outside of the axle. But when installing via Tinkerer's Adventure method, the center of the RSB actually drops below the diff. He seemed to want to maximize clearance at the axle tubes but I think the stock location is overall cleaner and makes more sense.

Received the RSB yesterday and was too excited to wait. Plus the weather was favorable. Side note, this dealer seems to be in eastern Mass and they offered a ~30% discount from retail on this so they may be my source going forward.

Step 1 was just to take an impact and see if this frame and front hitch bolt comes out.

The kit. All very nice.

Tried my compact 1/2" impact. Nope. Broke out the mid-torque. After some back and forth I was able to remove the bolts with no damage to anything. A key step was blowing out the threads with compressed air as a ton of stuff came out. Not bad for a rust belt truck with 219k.

Hung the end links on those frame holes.

Hung the bar on the end links.

And finally hung the bushings on the axle with U bolts and brackets.

Probably took about an hour. Torquing the axle U bolt brackets was actually pretty tedious. They were fine thread plus I had to tighten them evenly and it just took forever.

Naturally I test drove it. How does it feel? It's great! It does add a little unsprung weight and stiffness that you can feel while driving but there is a marked increase in solidity, confidence and balance when turning that I really like. It's amazing how you can just sort of toss this truck around. It was decent before but this is most definitely improved and was worth it for me. I will judge further on my commute this morning.

Feels great! Definitely just makes the rear axle feel stiffer and firmer. Feels great in corners and the transition to corners. It wasn't particularly compliant before but I think this is overall a better experience for me.

It is actually more stable in crosswinds, which I discovered this morning during some gusts.
