Notice that even though this is a 4 cylinder engine of modest displacement (212 cid) it is still mammoth. It needs all the under hood height available. And there isn't even room for a mechanical fan!

Great sound! 2800rpm on a Detroit sounds like 5600 (hence the nickname screamin' jimmy).

Ah, this video confirms a 3" suspension lift PLUS a 3" body lift. This truck is...cool, but the actual utility of all that work is questionable.

This is better. 6V53. Still only 318 cubes and it really fills up the engine bay. Sounds better, too.

Probably an Allison trans. Shifts like a coach bus.
