You'll notice that stuff was slow as hell in the 80s. Anything under 10 was considered pretty good.

Check out that 84 Vanagon if you want a laugh.

I love how they descript the T-tops as "hopefully" keeping rain drops out. Seems accurate.

Yeah, the 307ci didn't have a lot of power. 150hp, 250lb-ft IIRC. Enough torque to not feel strained in normal driving, but not enough HP to really perform. I had an '88 in high school. Even with a glasspack and a hollowed-out cat, it wasn't anything to get excited about. However, if you flipped the air cleaner lid over it did sound pretty cool.
