I want a W12. In another life. Because these are absolutely atrocious to own if you value ease and cost of maintenance as well as reliability. Also the V8 is not fast.

This car is the perfect example of how wrong people are when they say German cars maintain their value. This car looks nice, if not exciting, inside and out. It drives nice. It's from a German automaker. Yet, the amount of depreciation you are looking at with these cars is just staggering. Fact.

Something to note;
the phateon has a MASSIVE DIY community surrounding it, and they do some pretty impressive things with this car, mostly out of necessity (its either reverse engineer some electrical component to replace a bad capacitor or pay like $3000 for a new one).

so don't be too worried about picking one up
Well isn't that interesting.

Seems to me you could buy a fixer upper house, or buy a Phaeton (equivalent time/money).
