I think possibly the CPO on Cadillac is reduced, as well. But maybe that happened before. Not sure.
They give some evidence and possibly even lead the reader to conclude that new GM engines are less reliable than before, which is why GM is shortening the warranty (because they can't afford it). But that makes no sense. These were brand new vehicles and would easily still be covered under the terms of the new warranty. A brand new engine failing is not really a reliability issue so much as a QA issue, which even the shortest warranty will cover because it happens so early in the life of the vehicle.
