These are cool. Was this Chrysler's first automatic? Now I need to find some kind of commercial/ad for the 1939 Olds 4-speed hydromatic.

My uncle used to have a '59 Imperial back in the day with the push button automatic. I remember being fascinated by that as a kid seeing as the only automatics I was aware of were column shift.

It seems like a 3-speed with the 1, 2 and D settings. When did Chrysler get their first 4-speed? The 80s?

Something pike that. If my memory serves correct, it was basically an A727 Torqueflite with an overdrive gear.

See what I mean about their RWD cars? They were dumping cash into the K-car platform in the early 80s. So their 80s RWD cars were pretty lame.
