Rated at 365 hp net though I almost question if that is a misprint. The 535 lb-ft of torque is sweet though. These numbers should result in at least a 1/4 mile in the 14s and I'm just not sure these were ever that fast.

Pretty sure that should be 365 gross HP. Or probably less.

235 hp and 385 lb-ft for the 1972 500.
Back in 1970, it had 10.0:1. That probably ran pretty good. Factory ratings of 400 hp and 550 lb-ft is pretty stout, even in gross ratings, for what is supposed to push a barge around comfortably.
I'd like to drive one, especially with the Bendix analog EFI (75-76).
