Mandatory AWD. 255hp. Combined 30mpg rating expected. Not too shabby. That's what you get for only $83k (well, before options).

Really makes me mad that GM didn't realize their Duramax 4500 when it was ready back in 2010. Hell it could have gone into a VE platform car. Imagine a G8 with a 310hp V8 turbo-diesel w/ 520 lb-ft of torque. It would have horsepower AND torque, not just torque like all of these modern small displacement diesels have. It may not have gotten 30mpg combined but an honest 30mpg highway I think was entirely realistic. Le sigh.
