The Racing Line

Post by Adam »

They gave Randy Pobst his own show! He talks about racing stuff. Two episodes so far.

I saw the show title but didn't realize it was Randy. That's awesome.

I lol'd when he brought out the checklist for the ways in which you can use a potential advantage to pull off a pass.

But those are all wrong. Everyone knows that to pass a car that is as fast as you, all you have to do is floor it extra hard like in the movies.

Speaking of movies, I didn't know about the "don't block twice" rule. Is that a real rule? Or just a common sense "don't be a dick, dick" rule?

The tire temp part was cool. Which reminds me that I did push my CTS-V hard enough down in NC on my Michelin Pilot Super Sports to heat them up. They got a little greasy (I think the rears more as I kept rotating the car) but it seemed to stabilize and continued to be very drivable. Bob I also recall this happening to you on your Z06.

This is yet another reason why on/off ramps are not handling (though I understand in southern NE we don't have much for good roads without traffic).

I think they are trying to hook the viewer in with the basics but so far this is a very enjoyable show and presentation. Moar!

And I'll say it again, M/T is killing it with online video content.

Apparently Cadillac is the official vehicle of this series (presented by Tirerack).
