I didn't know this. That move seems pretty sketchy. Did that not get any press when it happened? Did GM get a similar deal when it 'paid off' its loan?

I don't know off hand. I do know the gov't is in the hole like $10B when the gov't sold its GM shares. But I don't know if that's just a $10B bottom line loss (taking into account the loan and the ownership pieces). It has to be, because the share value has gone up pretty significantly.
