PlastiDip (and paint alternatives) thread

Post by kevm14 »

Suggested relevant applications:
- Bill's future Monte Carlo
- My Caprice (starting with the roof, probably)

There are options other than matte, which is good. Now Bill needs to add content.

Ive been meaning to try this in an effort to rehab some of the Fleetwood's destroyed OEM blackout tape on the various window moldings.

Some ACE Hardware locations sell some types of this.

As an actual real account for this, Edgardo from work has used this to black out the chrome around his rear tail lights on his Gen 5 Camaro. It came out really good, and he did this a few years ago. I would recommend this for that application, and I also like the body protection application. Considering G-bodies rot so badly, and I would be using this for daily driving (not in winter), it is bound to get scratches and dings, apparently, you can easily spray over minor blemishes with this.
