Jenn's Civic hit that over Thanksgiving.
Re: Caprice countdown to 300k
My car will do donuts at 300k. I think it is looking forward to it.
I don't think I am going to break anything. I ran it up to 100 the other morning chasing this 3-series. Last night I did some shenanigans on a ramp due to a VERY slow car in front of me (rode the brakes, punched it, did a 2-1 and went sideways for a second or two, just to relieve some stress). It was fine.
My only real concern is a fire from high engine bay temps. Normally under full power I'd be building speed and thus lots of air would be entering the engine bay, like around the exhaust manifolds. There is various grease and oil all over the place, though I don't know how combustible it really is. The other thing is, I sort of haven't washed it in a long time, and I used to wash both the engine bay and spray underneath. So there will be more stuff than usual.
If I could hold it in 1st, then I'd really have no concerns other than heat. A bunch of 1-2s and 2-1s is probably not going to be good for it. With a posi carrier, I will have no axle issues.
Well, I also want to stop before the tires are down to belts...

Re: Caprice countdown to 300k
I have fire extinguishers. We should prob bring the big garage one at least... Maybe a little one so we don't have to waste a big one on a small fire.

Re: Caprice countdown to 300k
When I get home it will be like 299,995 or something. Unless I go out to lunch.
Oh, I forgot I am going to someone's retirement thing after work. So it will definitely roll 300k while driving home tonight. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
