Scat Pack! I am nowhere near a 40K vehicle purchase either. I have never paid more than 17K for a car. I would like to keep it that way. I am also trying to stagger my loans so I only have one at a time, and minimize the monthly payment.

This method has seemed to maximize reliability and minimize excitement. I am ready to maintain reliability for my wife's car, and maximize excitement with mine.

Alternator not charging properly due to wiring harness issue: did not strand. Temporarily fixed with zipties and went through harness later, and found nothing. Never happened again, to date.

The worst part about that adventure was when we got to look at/buy my Caprice, it was dark out.
