Honda Civic 1.5T

My first thought was snooze. But I guess the real point is a pretty plain jane Civic sedan with the 1.5T ran 15.5 @ 92.4 mph, meaning it would give a stock LT1 B-body a run for its money.

From my perspective, it is kind of amusing to put myself back in 1996 and say "in 20 years, a regular production Civic will be about as fast as this Impala SS." Ok the Impala SS is 1/2 second faster ET but close enough.

As the resident Honda Fanboy, I was actually just going to post this. I am glad to see you took note of the performance level of the new Civic. Just wait for the Type R...

I'd still rather drive the Impala SS even at the same exact performance.

I can't say that this Civic with a CVT would be particularly appealing to me. At least the steering would be tight.

The cool things is the civic is rated at 31/42 with the 1.5T. I can't think of too many other non-electrified vehicles that trap 92 and pull down mileage like that.

In other news, the new Civic Hatch looks good: http://www.autonews.com/article/2016030 ... king-flair

I am sure the new Civic Type R will be nice, but I am not so sure it will be able to hang with the Focus RS. Hondas only hope may be to sell it cheaper.

I would say Honda is getting their swagger back with the new Civic after being a bit lost for the last 5 years or so.
