Erroneous Fuel Label on 2016 Traverse/Lambda vehicles

Could be a simple clerical error. Probably is a simple clerical error.

Other relevant facts:
- These vehicles have a 1 to 2 month supply, which indicates demand (last 5 years sales were 230k to 278k for the trio)
- This news comes 1 model year prior to the significant weight loss (500 to 700 lbs) and slight shrinkage the Lambda platform saw for the 2017 model year. New MPG ratings: 18/25 for AWD V6 GMC Acadia. A FWD 4 cylinder Acadia is rated at 21/26.

Other comments:
Good for GM doing this on their own; unlike what Ford does repeatedly to its customers to the tune of not only continuing to have to correct the inflated numbers but having to pay cash back to their pissed off customers.

Actually, I think I was confused. Only the GMC Acadia has shrunk for 2017.

Now that is very un-GM-like.

Specifically, the 2017 Acadia will go to the C1XX platform (based on Epsilon), as will the new Cadillac XT5, which Wiki says replaces both Theta Premium (2nd gen SRX) and Lambda (Traverse, et al). The 2018 Traverse and Buick Enclave will get a long wheel base C1XX. The original Lambda was also based on Epsilon so I guess C1XX is really Lambda 2, except GM totally screwed with its naming conventions (starting with the K2XX name for what should probably be GMT-1000 or whatever).

Anyway, maybe GM did a market analysis and the demographic for each actually calls for the XT5 and Acadia on short wheel base C1XX and Traverse/Enclave on long wheel base C1XX. The Buick I understand (because China), at least. The Cadillac makes some sense as well, I suppose, given the competition in the luxury segment of crossovers. The Chevy, I guess that also makes sense (long wheel base = more space, and Chevrolet means more affordable). So maybe the only one I don't get is the Acadia on short wheel base. Maybe the market analysis reveals that Acadia buyers can afford the Cadillac but know enough to buy the Acadia instead, as it is a better value (like the Yukon vs the Escalade).

Compensation plan. Or a plan to make a plan.
