If not for some annoying interior squeaks and rattles.

This should be something they can fix. But at the same time, I can't personally understand not wanting to drive the car, since it is so good in every other way. I also always hate these arguments that are like "for $65k (base MSRP is $56k, same interior) it ought to have no squeaks." Ok, maybe no squeaks, but in general terms, how perfect does everything need to be if other cars for $56-65k generally offer inferior performance? It should be better in every single way than the competition, but also more affordable? So in every review of a car that is sold for a similar price, we can justifiably argue it is not perfect because it doesn't run low 12s and pull over 1G on the skidpad? No, because that would be ridiculous.
M/T long term 2015 Corvette Stingray: almost perfect

Some comments on the 911, since this always seems to come up:
Lots of folks chiming in saying no rattles or issues with their C7. The good news is, for the used car buyer, rattle problems with a magazine car are irrelevant. You test drive it and you'll instantly know if that one has an issue. It's not worth wringing hands over.I have a 15 Z51 convertible with about 11k miles. I have not had a squeak or a rattle or any problems whatsoever. I use it to drive back and forth to work in good weather, about 30 miles a day. I had a 2002 911 turbo, and 3 previous 911's before that. To match the performance of the new Vette, you would have to get the 2016 911S which nicely equipped would be 130k or more. In my opinion, the Porsches are better built, better finished, and feel more nimble with a better view of the road. But- they are not 60k better, and certainly not more fun to drive. If you move up to the Z06. you would have to get the 911 turboS which can easily approach 200k. Also, the Vette's styling is spectacular compared with the dated 911.
