This is pretty good. He has a pretty broad experience base on which to judge this car. Perhaps crucially for GM (and maybe not atypical, either), this is his first Corvette.
C7 Z06 daily use impressions + track

Lots of good feedback: http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c7- ... 1589032788
1/2 inch. On the track I've had the car to, there is a big whoop right before a slight turn in and hard braking zone. The car really gets pushed down there. For folks that know Pacific Raceways this is the braking zone into 5a. At 1/2 inch I managed to rub off about 1/8" off the outer bottom edge of the little plastic air deflectors that hang down below the splitter. So I think it's about perfect for me. Keep in mind I do not have Z07. At 1/2" the car is also still drivable around town. Same amount of car as before angling curbs and it's fine. Track alignment also doesn't affect the car a ton on highway either. A little twitchier, but ok. Two weeks ago I had it at track all day Saturday, then Sunday put air back in the tires and my wife and I took it out for a 4 hour drive and it was still a great driver. That's an example of why I love this car.

Yup you nailed it. I seriously considered SM as an option. But then I got an Exige S 240 that I tracked the hell out of and was having so much fun I decided to back down all the way to just track days and call it good.

Just to add more fuel to the fire as to how much I like the Z06 as a track car. My plan was get a feel for whether the Z06 was for real. If not, the Exige would still be my main track car with the Z06 relegated to daily driver. I love my Exige, it a phenomenal track car. Closest feel to my cup car in handling in any car I've tracked. After three track days in the Z06 I can tell you I'm selling my Exige since I won't be driving it much any more.
