The Smoking Tire: C4 Corvette

One take at Encinal Canyon. Where ever that is. Also, its a '91 with an L98. Best truck motor ever.

This one is the best, or L98s? I'd say the L31 was the best. Unless you count the Vortec 8100.

That was more of a comment on how F-bodies drove with that engine. With their ~4400RPM power peak and all.

Yeah well it was enough to push a C4 to a 95mph trap speed, which was pretty good in the mid 80s, per the other thread. I'll watch this video now (from New Hampster).

Fun fact that you already know: 91 was the last year of the L98 in the C4 and was also the 2nd or 3rd year of the speed density L98 (I forget which without looking it up).

Fun fact #2: That ZF 6-speed actually delivered good shift feel like 15+ years before the Tremec TR-6060 was a thing.

I think the C4 power peak was a little higher. Also, it was a great '80s engine. It just produced torque like a truck engine would. At 2800RPM.

Ok I watched it.

Now I want a C4. Not really. But Bill should want a C4.
