I was impressed with the M5, until I read this:

I suspected something like this was at play. I wonder what they would have rated my CTS-V for, then. It mainly boils down to tongue weight and trailer stability. The US demands more of both, so tow ratings decrease.
Now, be VERY impressed that the V4P Fleetwood could tow 7,000 lbs....under US standards.
