I still don't understand the G8 stuff. The G8 was literally a VE Commodore with a Pontiac split kidney grill. No other changes. This is a VF Commodore with very little changes as well.

Well now I know why I like this so much.

It seems like GM's American operations still don't understand what a hot Commodore is about. In Australia, the Commodore is your average taxicab, your local police cruiser. A fast, sporty version of this car is like a '96 Impala SS - if the Impala SS had ever been able to run with M5s. The appeal of the Chevy SS is that it's a sleeper. It doesn't need a gaudier front clip and bright colors... this thing is a stealth bomber, and that's how it should be marketed. That's a niche audience, sure, but how many of these do they sell anyway?
