Top 10 cheapest cars with 400+ HP

Post by kevm14 »

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2015 ... 00-hp.html

Bill content: 5 out of 10 of these are GM.

Kevin content: I thought of a used CTS-V1...

And here's a comment that caught my eye:
I just bought a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT8 with 80k miles for $7k
Good lord. Do I take another look at the 300C that I didn't like, or the SRT that I've never driven (and $7k is still too much)?

Hmm, getting one of those for $7k versus $25k or whatever they were the last time you looked could be a game changer.

Not quite 400hp, but the price is closer.

I don't like the Magnum. The 300C is my favorite LX. One issue with the SRT-8 is they wear 20s.

Maybe my tolerance of the 300C would go up since the price is much cheaper now. Plus you can get the 300C in AWD....for extra fuel economy.

AWD would make it an interesting choice for the winter. Fuel economy should be on par with a GMT900 SUV.

It would. On the other hand it would amplify the characteristics about the 300C that I DON'T like. I think the suspension treatment on those was similar to what BMW did on the E46 330xi vs the 330i. It was higher ride height and softer.
