Tires in my basement

Post by kevm14 »

I did an audit. My Impala SS wheels/tires are not included in the audit. But they are pretty worn...

First up, two Maxima snow tires on 15" steelies. 215/60R15 94T (T is fast for a snow tire). Toyo Observe G-02 plus. They had about 8/32" tread. I haven't put these on because, well, I only have two, they're ugly, and the Fuzions have been pretty good. These were used some number of seasons.

Next up, two BFG Radial T/A tires. 235/70R15 102S. One tire had around 7/32" but the other was less evenly worn, with around 7/32" in the middle but 5/32" at the edges. I think these were last on the front of my Caprice when I used to do rear snows only.

Finally, I have two Hankook H714 tires. 225/75R15 102S. Whitewall. These came off my Fleetwood. I think they were actually on my Fleetwood when I bought it. One has good tread but a sidewall puncture w/ a patch (slightly sketchy but I don't remember having any problems) and the other has no patches but tread is not as good. The crappier tire has 5/32" at one edge, 7/32" at the center and 6/32" on the other edge. The better (but puncture repaired) tire has 7/32" on the edges and 8/32" at the center.
