This is a very interesting look at real data. And it does contrast with that other BS article about predicted longevity.

60% of these are LS-powered. And there are only 3 brands represented (counting Chevy and GMC as one like I do when comparing to F-150 sales).

90% are trucks which is quite distinguishing for the Avalon. Guarantee more cars in the top 20, though.

You can discuss the why's of this but I posit that it is based on the ratio of utility to operational cost. A Camry should run to high miles, too, but it won't because it's much lower in utility than these so people move on to newer vehicles for basic transportation needs.

I'd be interested in the breakdown of diesel and gas in the 3/4 ton trucks.

This list makes my guess for the other list even more credible. I don't think they included trucks in the 250,000 article.

Commercial vehicles are generally driven many more miles in a shorter period of time, which I think increases the likelihood of going over 200k.

Now that I look back at that article, I think you're right.

It is interesting that most of the cars in the car list are not on the 250,000 list either... With the percentages listed in this article, it is clear that it is a very low percentage. For example, .9% of Corollas make it to 200,000, who cares if .3 make it to 250,000 that is such an insignificant number to buy a car based off of. The top percent on here for cars is the Avalon at 2.7. This made it to the 250,000 list also so what is that whittled down to .5%?

What surprised me the most: How small a percent make it to 200,000. I thought that was the standard now???
