This is a thing that's happening and I first heard about it with Holden. That allays my fear, at least for Holden, that the intent is just to manufacture cars somewhere less expensive.

I found it kind of interesting that one of the things cited was the strong Australian dollar. That translates to their money being worth a lot, relatively. So it takes more foreign dollars to get the same "stuff" (labor, etc.). So if no one can accord to manufacture there, what does that do to their economy? I suppose they have to figure out some other industry.
