I got several e-mail messages telling me to do so for my personal e-mail. Now that I did it, it is re-downloading all my e-mail from the server. I believe they made a protocol change, and may actually be using real Exchange now which is cool I guess.
But there's one change I noticed immediately.
There is now apparently a 50GB allocation for free Outlook accounts. I don't know if it was really unlimited before, but I assumed it was and treated it as if it was (I have e-mails back to 1997, that I have carefully migrated from my various POP3 clients over the years).
It says I have 41GB free now but I am curious what it will say when everything has synchronized. I guess this is the end of unlimited free e-mail, though 50GB is a tremendous amount.

I did Jamie's and there was no such limit shown in the client. Now I'm confused. 50GB is associated with Office 365....I don't have that.

The quota or just the fact that I get e-mail (duh)?Storage space for your Outlook.com email increases monthly
