Damn high rating, too.
This is the first product review I have done in my life. It takes a lot to impress me. In fact, I thought I was going to hate this generator because I am Honda generator guy through and through. I have owned three Honda EU2000's and a Honda EU3000 generator. This generator is about $400 cheaper than an EU2000 and way easier to use and maintain in my opinion. This generator has been fantastic! We run a fireworks tent in Utah. Firework season is the 4th of July and the 24th of July here (Pioneer Day). We run the generator roughly 10 - 12 hours a day. It runs that entire day on 1 tank of gas or about 1 gallon. In the evenings, it is loaded to about 60% running the lights, fans and point of sale system along charging all sort of devices. Never skips a beat. Starts right up every time. So far, we have logged 152 hours on it since purchasing it June 20th. We have changed the oil on it twice which is super easy and really clean the way they designed it. We monitor the generator using the Ryobi generator app on our iPhones. We always know how much fuel we have and the load it is under. One really cool feature is, when you run low on fuel, it automatically sends you an alert via the app that fuel is low. It has a built in hour meter that you can view from the app so you never miss an oil change or other maintenance requirements. Another awesome feature is, It is really light. The placement of the handles were very well thought out. Love the suitcase style extension that you can pull out and wheel the generator away. Ryobi has been paying attention for sure. One thing I cannot recommend strongly enough. Try to run ethanol free fuel in any generator and always always ALWAYS stabilize the fuel using a product like Sta-Bil. If you do that, you will rarely ever have a starting problem. That is from many years of experience and 1000's of hours logged on small gen sets.
