None of the stuff he said surprised me, but it might surprise someone who thinks a kit means you just bolt some stuff together (i.e. engine mount adapters).
Bashing the trans tunnel for example is something you even have to do on a B-body to put a 4L80E in. And that's a big car. So my expectations are set from what I've seen for the past 17 years when generally putting different engines and transmissions into cars that weren't originally made for them.
But at the end of the day, you can tell he doesn't regret a thing. It's just an expectation management issue.
