This was reasonable overall.

Spoiler for Bill: manuals are more fun.

Some interesting comments. An argument spawned about American vs other cars and some Euro snob was like "I'd rather have [whatever shitty Mercedes] with half the power for more money than this car" or other ridiculous remark. I particularly enjoyed these two comments from Europeans:
I'm European/ German and I have never owned a German car. It's not like I couldn't afford to buy one, I am just afraid of the repair costs. If anything breaks you have to go to the dealership to have it fixed and the more complicated the car the more it's prone to failure and the higher the costs. No thanks! I rather stick with simple cars. I've had two French cars. One didn't make any problems in three years of ownership. The other one was used and the turn signal stick had a failure which was fixed for less than €200. After that I got me an old Miata. Parts cost me quite some money but I can fix it all by myself. Yet on the other side there is my best buddy who always buys BMWs and they always have drivetrain issues. All three of them. New and used. Everything is more expensive on those cars. You can't do anything yourself. Same with his dad who always buys Mercedes and guess what, overcomplicated cars, constant failures, constantly in the shop to have it fixed. That's insanity! Doing the same thing over and over again and actually believing it'll change next time around.
Cheap horsepower is what we want. Im from eurpoe (poland) and cars here are boring as can be. Mostly smal cars, fwd small engines 1.8 max, lots of diessels. Bmw's raerly over 2L ,merc mostly diesels , Audi- lot of 1.9 diesel wagon, lexus-rare too see. Other cars is a mass of small chatchback's like fiat, renault, pegout, citroen etc.
In european cars 80% is real euro trash, and 20% are true gems.
Nice interior is for nothing when you have no power to step on, you need nice plastic's on daschboard when you spending more time in euro car driving slow...
I can have even screws on sight in the dash, when car handles nice and have great egngine.
Greetings.
Now he makes a lot of sense. Life is too short to drive boring cars! Especially when you are trying to pull off some kind of status symbol with it because of the badge. Dumb. And these days there are available American cars with great power, great handling and honestly the interiors are more than good enough to not feel like the car is made of cardboard.
