MotorWeek Retro: GM line for 1986

Wow that's a lot of cars. The ABS stuff impressed me. A lot of fuel injection, too. Some even sequential. Lots of sweet 80s tech, like digital dash and even that CRT touchscreen to control the radio, climate controls and trip computer stuff. That was so far ahead of its time it's ridiculous.

I'm going on record that the 86 Cimarron was halfway decent looking (the updated front end styling specifically). Oh, I know why. Because it kind of looks like the front end on my Roadmaster, especially the way the grill contours up a little along the edge of the hood.

Ha! The Delta 88 was 22 inches shorter than the previous generation.

Check out the bouncing at 12:30-12:35. That IROC looks like a Cadillac!

Also, the G-Bodies (minus the Pontiac...) are the best looking out of all of these, except maybe the IROC.

I saw that! I almost rewound it. Funny you noticed, too.
