Painted shutters

Post by kevm14 »

Over the past month I removed all shutters (they are only on the front) and painted them. I used a Rustoleum brand spray paint, navajo white gloss. I pressure washed the shutters and probably should have sanded them but I didn't.

I thought I would need to use my giant 32' extension ladder which I don't think is practical to use alone. So I used my Werner folding/extending ladder. It actually reached high enough though it flexed alarmingly. Not a fan of working on the side of the house off a ladder. I much prefer going straight up to the roof on the big ladder. Take that for what it's worth.

Looks much better. New mulch this weekend, also.

I will find a before shot but they were stained the same exact brown as the house, which is clearly incorrect.
