Also, check out the primitive auto climate control. Of course Cadillac had fully digital auto climate control in like 80 or 81. The higher line B-bodies got it sometime later, like maybe 86 or something (never in the Caprice). This seems like an interesting blend. It is the old school sliders but the temp slider is actually in degrees, which means it must have some kind of feedback control to the blend door actuator. Everything else is manual (air direction and fan speed). Kind of interesting. For some reason this is a pet peeve of mine but somewhere out there, someone thinks they just wrote some numbers on the regular cold/hot slider. Which would never work, of course.
I had no idea they put the fiber optic repeaters on the front fenders. Thought that was Cadillac-only.
