This is theoretically a genius move because GM can hopefully survey the public response to an article such as this without having to do their own market survey (not that they wouldn't but this is lower effort I'd assume, and with lower quality results).
Unfortunately, I think you'll also see people run with this saying "GM is so stupid to do an electric crossover Camaro like Ford." Yeah, except this is simply a speculative M/T article, for clicks.

This is stupid. I'd rather they did Hummer EVs than this. If they wanted it to be fast the Hummer EV could target the Hellcat Jeep stuff, which makes way more sense to me than chasing a Camaro.
