Best tool ever.

Around 80,500 miles. I switched to G48. It may have had the equivalent of the G05 chemistry but the blue G48 is "for Mercedes." In the future I could change it again to make sure it's more pure. Honestly I got most of it out by disconnecting the lower radiator hose. The listed capacity is 8.5L or 2.25 gallons. I got over 2 out for sure so that's pretty cool.
07 S550: change coolant w/ vacuum fill tool
Re: 07 S550: change coolant w/ vacuum fill tool
Preventatively replaced the coolant pressure tank. Easy job. For some reason the new one didn't come with a cap so I had to buy one at dealer retail. The cap is a wear item. Yes I could have used my old cap until I ordered a new one from a cheaper source. But I wanted to complete the task.
I evacuated the tank as much as I could and then sort of did the rest after disconnecting the bottom house. The steam line connections were really cool. They come apart and go together satisfyingly. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I think the coolant tank cap was leaking. I had replaced it with the tank with a new cap. So I am trying a Gates from Rockauto. The O-ring on the "old" cap looks pretty weird for only a year of driving.
