You should know what this is. If not, you probably roll your windows down a lot.

AC compressor low pressure switch randomly died today. AC worked when I left the driveway but quit about 15 minutes into my drive.

Checked pressure and still had refrigerant, shorted the low pressure switch connector with a jumper wire and AC worked fine.

I think I put an aftermarket one on years ago when the original failed, guess the aftermarket one failed now.

Ordered a GM genuine from RockAuto. I'll probably run with the connector jumpered until it comes in.

You will probably freeze the evaporator if fan speed is less than high speed and if your drive is longer than 15-20 mins.

Yeah, depending on engine RPM, outside air temp, humidity, etc. I didn't put it on recirc for that reason, but with the higher humidity outside air it might've been worse off for it. Worked fine for the trips I needed to make, and if the evaporator core had iced up at least I could manage that by shutting of the AC button on the dash while driving. Didn't need to. Switch is supposed to come in Thurs.
