Interesting collection of engines here.  5.3 in the Silverado, 2.7EB in the F-150 and the diesel in the Ram.
One thing is for sure: GM has tuned all of the snap out of their Gen V engines in truck applications.  Probably for fuel economy.
I suppose the 4.3 V6 would have been a better fit with this group.
Although the 5.3 is slower than the F-150 with 2.7EB.  That's impressive.  The 2.7EB trapped 93 mph!  Also, that diesel in the Ram is a SLUG.  Thing runs 16.6 @ 81.5.  That's dog slow.
