I must say it looks pretty mainstream from the front. This could be good for sales. Unfortunately there are not any technical details. I am very interested in battery size, range and rear seat space.

I thought I heard a rumor that they were repackaging the battery to add a third seat in the back.

I heard that too. I am interested to see if they did that. Also, it looks like the car has more of a sedan shape rather than a hatchback.

Big reduction in rare earth magnets (because China). That's a good thing and was probably a pretty big engineering task, since they increased performance, increased efficiency and decreased weight.

A partnership with Progressive Insurance was also announced that will allow drivers to voluntarily share data on their driving habits in pursuit of reduced insurance rates. It's part of Progressive's Snapshot program that allows drivers to share driving data with the insurance company over a 90-day period with the goal of lowering their rates. It's expected to roll out this summer and will be available on all 2016 GM vehicles as well as some 2015, 2014 and 2013 models.
