Wow, sounds eerily familiar to another "future car".
V6 Twin Turbo, MR (assuming rear drive it doesn't actually say)...
I bet the Z06 still beats this...
Ford GT

Sounds like a pair of turbos with no mufflers. Needs more V8.
But let's take a moment to remember the Jaguar XJ220.

Re: Ford GT
Don't worry, the Corvette will sound like this soon enough.
Re: Ford GT
I know, I couldn't help it.
On a serious note, It will be really interesting to see how this puts the power down (the GT). I read more about this and Ford is claiming that this will have the best power to weight ratio of any car. If this is true, I may have been wrong about the Z06 beating this. I think it will be a very interesting matchup. The way everyone is talking, the Corvette needs to go to just about exactly this setup to get better, so maybe we will see if it is actually better. I bet it costs double.
The current Z06 is really nothing to turn your nose up at. I would go so far as to say that legal street cars are not going to get much better than zero to 60 in under 3 seconds. The performance is really getting to the point where you will only be able to tell the difference if you were on a track, and a professional driver.

Re: Ford GT
In performance, yes. But there are still differentiators for cars at this level and that is how well the car communicates with you to be able to extract that performance in a manner that doesn't require white knuckles to execute.
