I didn't even skim the article but I read somewhere else that this was anti-climactic considering all the hype. This car won't be known for affordable performance so it's only interesting from an I-got-into-cars-in-the-90s perspective.
A/W: 2016 Acura NSX
Re: A/W: 2016 Acura NSX
I think this is the poor man's 918. The only problem is that I am not sure it will actually bring the performance.
One thing going against this car is all of the things that can break. 3 Electric motors, a gas motor, 2 turbos...
For "north of 550HP" total.
I like the sound of this: "Sport Hybrid Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive"
It is estimated to be 600 lbs. more than the last one, (3600 lbs total) which got a lot of fame over it's ultralight aluminum frame. This has more HP than the last one, but the last one was rated at 276 HP which everyone knows is not real. So there is that.
This also has a space age frame, but batteries, 3 electric motors...
It will be interesting to see what this goes for sale for, and it's actual performance specs.

Re: A/W: 2016 Acura NSX
I'm annoyed that the standard is now the 918 recipe. I was hoping I could ignore the super/hyper car hybrids, which was easy when they're $1M.
