I think he was factually incorrect on a few of the engine comments:

The MR2 Spyder shared the engine with the base Celica, not the GTS
The engine in the Elise is physically identical to the GTS. The only difference is the Lotus ECU and a lower 6th gear in the Elise.

I am impressed that he was able to find one of those with an automatic. That couldn't have been a very popular combo. Also, I have heard that Celica was pretty tossable, due to a curb weight around 2500 lbs and a decently tuned chassis. I have never driven one though...

Agree about the engine comments. He tried to correct it with a comment but I remain a little disappointed in his automotive technical acumen.
