- Chassis wise, the Gen 6 is best., 1LE is probably as close as the Gen 5 gets.- Nicely splits the chassis difference between the gen 5 and gen 6
- Save a solid $5k and possibly more for equivalent mileage/condition, I think
- Most likely the depreciation will be better than either
- Performance you can access, though the gen 6 probably is more approachable than the ZL1
- More simple vehicle, though a gen 6 1SS probably isn't too bad unless you detract points for the direct injection on the LT1
- And yeah the 1LE is more special and rare - I care about this, you may not
- 5K is about the split in cost, if the 1LE can ever be found...
- 1LE depreciation will likely be less than 2016 regular SS, ZL1 is still to be seen as it has already depreciated 20K I think there is still more to go, but I don't think they will ever be less than 12-15K.
- Still think gen 6 is best overall (not by much over the ZL1 though)
- Gen 6 has like 35 coolers (oil, trans)
- I am not looking to drive a car just because it is a unicorn. To put it another way, the ZL1 is still awesome even if there are way more than the 1LE. That doesn't bother me at all.
