Stock powertrain, big chassis mods. This car in spirit isn't that different from my approach to the Caprice.

Those reproduction plus-size wheels are pretty slick.
Maybe 220 (hp) when it was new and fresh
More like 180hp. Those 3.73's make it feel quicker than it is.

The SS's actually do drive pretty well in stock form, at least they do compared to other cars of the era.

In the underhood shot you can see a metal coupler that replaces the rag joint in the steering shaft.
